Tibber provides consumers with the following types of time series data, all of which are easily transferable to Clarify:

  1. Consumption. All customer’s historical energy consumption.
  2. Energy prices. Hourly energy prices, both historical and future ones.
  3. Home data. Metadata that is relevant to energy consumption.
  4. Real-time consumption. Energy consumption measurements in real time.

About Tibber company

Tibber is a Norwegian-Swedish company founded in 2016 by Daniel Lindén and Edgeir Aksnes, both energy industry engineers, with an idea to create a new solution to replace the outdated system led by large electric companies. Lindén and Aksnes developed an energy consumer service application that serves as a gateway for private customers. The app works as a smart assistant that allows users to buy, control and save energy. Designed to replace traditional utilities, Tibber allows customers to select and switch the suppliers of renewable energy and provides them with other ways of control along with transparent pricing information.

Originally launched in the Norwegian market, eventually Tibber expanded to Sweden and Germany, claiming to provide power services to hundreds of thousands of homes across these countries. The company also runs an online store with a selection of power-ups and smart home devices.

Features of Tibber app

The main functionality of Tibber App is to provide electricity supply services with real-time visibility into pricing. Additionally, the app provides real-time analytics into energy usage and is able to collect data from a variety of smart home devices.

Various kinds of data metrics about a customer's home, such as geographic location, size, date of construction, number of residents and other, are collected and analyzed with AI-based technologies to provide users with insights about electricity consumption at home and ways it can be reduced. The energy supplied by Tibber is a green energy produced from renewable energy sources like the sun, wind and water, which is another distinctive feature of this service. The Tibber app allows customers to see what organisations supply the energy and where it was produced.

The Tibber app also includes a number of smart features such as charging EVs (electric vehicles) when the electricity price is at its lowest or regulating heating during the night and holidays.
